Healthy through the Generations - Fat Loss Over 40

What do you remember about your mother in relation to exercising or dieting?

As early as first grade, I remember my mom working out in the living room using canned goods and watching a workout tape. My parents were both into fitness. Nutrition wasn't a huge focus but I do remember the low-fat diet trend impacting our groceries. I am sure my mom was also affected by the low-carb (atkins) phase as well.

When she started the FASTer Way I remember her excitement about eating all the fats and carbs. She was finally able to release the restriction mentality and enjoy the foods that helped her feel good.

Did you know women need eating less than 35g of healthy fats is dangerous for hormone health? Restricting carbs long-term can hurt your hormones as well. Our moms and possibly grandmas as well were being taught things that left them stressed, tired, and hungry (upset hormones).

Fitness was my focus for so long as well but joining the FASTer WAy helped educate me on the importance of nutrition and an easy way to make it a priority. I quickly decided to get certified as a coach because others needed this. My family needed it. My girls need to see me love food, eat nutrition-dense food, and move my body each day.

What you are doing today in front of your daughters is going to impact future generations. You can delay a healthy lifestyle trend or you can choose today to change it. Let's show our Mamas and our kids what a sustainable healthy lifestyle looks like. One that keeps your hormones happy allowing you to enjoy life and feel good!
